EC starts investigation into PM's speech

-Had said in Banswara- If Congress comes to power, it will distribute your property among Muslims.
New Delhi. The Election Commission (EC) has started investigating the statement given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Banswara. PM Modi had said in Banswara, Rajasthan that if Congress comes to power, it will distribute people's property among Muslims. The PM had also mentioned the comment of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, in which he had said that minorities have the first right on the country's resources.
Congress and CPI(M) had filed separate complaints with the Election Commission against this statement of the PM. Congress had appealed to the Election Commission to take action on PM Modi's statement on 'distribution of property'. Congress had described this statement as divisive, full of ill will and targeting a particular community.
At the same time, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury had also appealed to the Election Commission in a post to pay attention to this complaint and take action against PM Modi and BJP. He had also demanded registration of FIR in this matter.
What did PM Modi say in Banswara?
On Sunday in Banswara, Rajasthan, PM Modi said- If Congress government is formed then everyone's property will be surveyed. We will investigate how much gold our sisters have. The silver will be accounted for. In the lives of my mothers and sisters, sleeping is not just for show. It is related to his self-respect. His mangalsutra is not an issue of gold price, it is related to his life's dreams, you are talking about snatching it in your manifesto.
Earlier, when his government was in power, he had said that Muslims have the first right on the country's property. This means to whom will they collect the property and distribute it to those who have more children and to the infiltrators. Will your hard-earned money be given to infiltrators? You accept this.
